Our Events Coordinator

You’ll be the organisational heartbeat behind our workshops, group visits and estate-wide events—planning details, syncing departments, and delivering seamless experiences that reflect the quality and character of The Newt in Somerset. Expect variety, pace, collaboration and the joy of seeing exceptional ideas come to life.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Events Manager with planning, coordination and delivery of events across the estate.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and partners for smooth execution.
  • Manage logistics: schedules, set-up, supplier liaison and on-the-day coordination.
  • Maintain accurate event documentation, budgets and records.
  • Help develop new concepts and refine existing experiences for members and guests.
  • Evaluate event performance and feed back for continual improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and risk assessments.
  • Represent the Events Team at site meetings and support estate-wide initiatives.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in event coordination or management (luxury hospitality or heritage settings ideal).
  • Exceptionally organised, calm under pressure and detail driven.
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office; financially aware with an eye on budgets.
  • Comfortable collaborating across departments and with external suppliers.
  • Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as required.
  • Familiarity with event tools (e.g., Opera, Acuity, ResDiary, Sage, HubSpot, Trello) beneficial.
  • Full, clean driving licence (required).


Where you’ll be working

The Events team is at the core of all activity across the estate. It is a team made up of the Events Manager, 3 Event Coordinators, 1 Hotel Events Coordinator, and 1 Education and Children’s Activities Coordinator. The team work closely with all departments across the estate from the Gardening teams, Restaurant teams, FOH Hotel teams, Engineering teams, and Creative teams to produce and deliver exceptional events for our members and guests.
