Our Spa Host

As a Spa Host at The Newt in Somerset, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, delivering a welcoming, professional and personalised service that defines their spa journey from the moment they arrive. You will guide guests through our beautiful spa facilities, support bookings and reservations, and ensure every visit feels calm, seamless and truly special. Working closely with therapists and the wider spa team, you will help maintain exceptional standards across all areas while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of this tranquil wellbeing space.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and manage arrivals in a professional, friendly and efficient manner
• Provide guests with a clear orientation of spa facilities and amenities
• Maintain strong knowledge of spa treatments, facilities and wider estate services
• Support guest reservations and diary management to optimise bookings
• Oversee the daily therapist diary to ensure smooth spa operations
• Assist with upselling treatments, food and beverage offerings, and retail products
• Maintain spa presentation standards, including changing rooms and guest areas
• Handle guest feedback and issues positively, professionally and with care

The Spa at The Newt in Somerset is a nature-led wellbeing space inspired by the estate’s gardens, herbs, and botanical traditions. The Hammam is a key feature of the Spa, offering natural cleansing and heat-based rituals central to our wellness philosophy. Guests also enjoy Rasul, Halotherapy, Steam Room, Sauna, and indoor/outdoor pools. Treatments and products are crafted using estate-grown herbs and botanicals, creating a calm, natural environment focused on real and restorative wellbeing.
