Our Stock and Dispatch Coordinator

Our Stock and Dispatch Coordinator plays a vital role in keeping our busy Farm Kitchen at Avalon Farm running smoothly. From carefully packing and dispatching our Low & Slow Meats, Soups & Braises and Premium Frozen Ready Meals, to maintaining accurate stock records and keeping chilled, frozen and dry storage organised, you’ll be at the heart of a fast-moving food production operation. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves order, accuracy and making sure everything is in the right place at exactly the right time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pack and dispatch finished products, ensuring the correct specification, labelling and date coding.
  • Complete goods in and goods out procedures, checking deliveries and outbound loads against documentation.
  • Maintain accurate ERP stock transactions and complete stock control routines, including cycle counts, rotation and shelf-life checks.
  • Raise purchase requests for packaging, consumables and non-food supplies, monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages.
  • Organise chilled, frozen and dry goods storage and prepare materials and packaging ahead of planned production runs.
  • Complete packing, dispatch and stock documentation accurately in line with traceability requirements.
  • Work within factory zoning requirements, including low care and high care boundaries and cross-contamination controls.
  • Maintain excellent hygiene and housekeeping standards across packing, dispatch and storage areas.

What we can offer

  • A positive workplace environment with opportunities to develop both personally and professionally.
  • Peace of mind with Employee Life Cover, providing your nominated loved one with 2x your salary.
  • Support from our Employee Assistance Programme, including unlimited 24/7 remote GP appointments for you and your family.
  • Look after your wellbeing with complimentary access to our Spa and swimming pools and our exclusive benefit of 50% off Spa Treatments.
  • Stay in shape with complimentary use of our gym and wellbeing classes.
  • Access to our Cycle to Work scheme, supporting wellbeing and sustainable commuting.
  • Complimentary staff meal when onsite – crafted by our dedicated kitchen team, often featuring fresh produce from our estate.
  • Enjoy shopping in both our shops on estate and online with 30% discount for all our colleagues and free delivery for any online purchases.
  • Complimentary garden membership for The Newt and our partner gardens, including the Eden Project, Kew Gardens and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
  • We value your hard work and recognise your achievements through our colleague recognition programme – Newt Awards, with the opportunity to achieve amazing rewards, including a complimentary Hotel Stay.
  • Discover exclusive perks with discounted hotel stays for staff, accompanied by a 30% discount at our restaurants.
  • A team that knows how to have fun with regular team engagement activities, including Fun Squad events.
  • Up to 30 days annual leave each year for our full-time team.

What we're looking for

  • Highly organised, accurate and detail-focused, with a methodical and process-driven approach.
  • Reliable and self-managing, with the confidence to follow established routines and take ownership of your workload.
  • Practical and hands-on, comfortable working in a physical chilled food production environment.
  • Experience within a food production, stores or warehouse environment.
  • Good knowledge of stock control processes, including stock rotation, counting and shelf-life management.
  • Confident using computer systems for stock or order transactions; experience with an ERP or stock management system such as Sage X3 would be an advantage.
  • A good understanding of food safety, hygiene and traceability, with the ability to follow written procedures and complete documentation accurately.
  • Level 2 Food Safety certification, manual handling training or a powered pallet truck/forklift licence would be advantageous, alongside experience of chilled or frozen goods operations.
