Our Stock & Dispatch Coordinator

To manage the packing, dispatch and stock control operations within the Farm Kitchen at Avalon Farm. The Stock & Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for packing and dispatching finished Low & Slow Meats, Soups & Braises, and Premium Frozen Ready Meals to specification, maintaining accurate stock records on the ERP system, and ensuring the production team is supported by well-organised chilled, frozen and dry goods storage and a reliable supply of packaging and consumables.


Responsibilities

  • Pack and dispatch finished product across Low & Slow Meats, Soups & Braises and Premium Frozen Ready Meals, ensuring correct specification, labelling and date coding
  • Complete goods in and goods out procedures, checking deliveries and outbound loads against documentation and reporting discrepancies
  • Raise and maintain accurate stock transactions on the ERP system, including receipts, issues and transfers
  • Carry out stock control routines including cycle counts, stock rotation and shelf-life checks, investigating and reporting variances
  • Raise purchase requests for packaging, consumables and non-food supplies, monitoring levels to avoid production shortages
  • Organise and maintain chilled, frozen and dry goods storage areas so stock is correctly located, rotated and accessible to the production team
  • Prepare and stage packaging, consumables and raw materials ahead of planned production runs
  • Complete all packing, dispatch and stock paperwork accurately and retain it in line with traceability requirements
  • Work within factory zoning rules, observing low care and high care boundaries and cross-contamination controls
  • Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards across packing, dispatch and storage areas

  • Highly organised with a methodical, process-driven approach
  • Accurate and detail-focused, particularly with paperwork and stock records
  • Reliable and self-managing, able to work to established routines
  • Practical and hands-on, comfortable in a physical chilled production environment
  • Collaborative, with a service-minded approach to supporting the production team


Skills and experience needed for this role

  • Experience in a food production, stores or warehouse environment
  • Working knowledge of stock control routines including rotation, counting and shelf-life management
  • Confident using computer systems to process stock or order transactions
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene and traceability requirements
  • Ability to follow written procedures and complete documentation accurately


Skills and experience desired for this role

  • Experience using an ERP or stock management system such as Sage X3
  • Experience of goods in and goods out procedures in a chilled or frozen environment
  • Exposure to low care and high care production environments
  • Experience ordering packaging, consumables or other non-food supplies
  • Familiarity with SALSA, BRC or similar accreditation requirements


Qualifications needed for this role

  • Relevant professional experience required; formal qualifications beneficial but not essential.


Qualifications desired for this role

  • Level 2 Food Safety certification
  • Powered pallet truck or forklift licence
  • Manual handling training
