Our Cyder Bar Team Leader plays a pivotal role in bringing energy, precision and personality to one of the estate’s most vibrant guest spaces. You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the Cyder Bar, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable experience. From leading a passionate team to maintaining exceptional food and beverage standards, this is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the Cyder Bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service
  • Deliver consistently high standards of guest experience
  • Support stock control, cost management and minimise waste
  • Lead team briefings and set clear direction for service
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP and health & safety standards
  • Maintain excellent presentation and organisation of the department
  • Coach, support and motivate team members
  • Act as a visible leader on the floor, responding to guest and team needs

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a food and beverage environment, ideally within a fast-paced cafĂ© or restaurant setting
  • Confident and approachable leadership style
  • Strong barista skills and ability to train others
  • Good understanding of bar service and cellar management
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, positive and solution-focused mindset

The Cyder Bar is a key destination within the gardens and often the first touchpoint for our guests as they begin their journey through The Newt. Here, visitors can enjoy fresh pastries, expertly brewed coffee, and our signature crisp cyder. The menu offers something for everyone, from seasonal soups, salads, and warming braises to sausage rolls and apple juice perfect for younger guests. The Cyder Bar sets the tone for the guest experience, exemplifying the quality, efficiency, and warmth that define our hospitality throughout the estate.
