Our Housekeeping Team Leader

Our Team Leader plays a vital role in delivering the immaculate standards our guests expect when staying at Hadspen House and the Farmyard hotels. Leading from the front, you will supervise the housekeeping team to ensure every guest room, shared space and public area reflects the exceptional quality of The Newt. This is a hands-on role where organisation, teamwork and attention to detail are key. You will support and guide the team throughout the day, ensuring rooms are allocated effectively, standards are consistently met and guests enjoy a truly memorable stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently met
• Allocate rooms and public areas to members of the housekeeping team
• Train team members and refresh staff on housekeeping procedures and standards
• Provide updates and reports to the Executive Head Housekeeper and Assistant Manager
• Provide operational support during staff sickness or absence
• Work collaboratively with the wider hotel team to maintain service excellence
• Support the team with hands-on duties where required
• Demonstrate flexibility and assist with additional duties when needed

What we're looking for

• Experience in a supervisory housekeeping role or similar environment
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for high standards
• Friendly and professional with a positive attitude
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Comfortable undertaking physical work and being on your feet throughout a shift
• High standards of personal presentation
• Full driving licence required
