Our Fresh Produce Warehouse Supervisor

Are you passionate about fresh, seasonal produce and thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment? Do you enjoy leading small teams and ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.


As our Fresh Produce Supervisor, you’ll oversee the internal fruit & vegetable warehouse at Avalon, supervising a small team and ensuring produce is picked, packed and delivered across the estate in excellent condition. From supplying chefs and hospitality outlets to retail and ecommerce, you’ll play a key part in maintaining the quality and efficiency The Newt is known for.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small team in the fresh produce warehouse
  • Manage daily picking, packing and order fulfilment across the estate
  • Liaise with chefs, growers, retail and logistics to meet seasonal demand
  • Maintain accurate stock rotation and records, minimising wastage
  • Oversee compliance with health & safety and food hygiene standards
  • Keep excellent records of deliveries, wastage and invoices
  • Support procurement and invoicing in the Fresh Produce Buyer’s absence

Where You’ll Be Working – Our Fresh Produce Team

The Fresh Produce Team is based at our Avalon site and plays a vital role in supplying chefs, retail, ecommerce and hospitality across the estate. Working closely with growers, buyers and wider warehouse colleagues, the team ensures produce is always delivered in top condition — fresh, accurate and on time.
